My clients appreciate great style and design, but they enjoy a good pair of PJs even more. They believe that snuggling is an expression of love, and that family photography is more than a perfect holiday card — it’s a gift for their children and future grandchildren. My clients are busy people, but they also believe in pressing the pause button and finding time to laugh together.
My style is a marriage of posed and candid moments. I think it’s important to capture a few classic shots with everyone looking at the camera; I’m also inspired by the ‘in-between’ moments — the way mom looks at dad as he gives his daughter a piggyback ride, or the way your son giggles with mischievous delight as he toddles away from you.
Sessions typically take place either at your home or outdoors in and around the Sacramento surrounding areas. Bonus points if you can think of a location that’s meaningful to your family.
I love helping my clients choose their outfits — it’s like piecing together a puzzle! Before your session, I’ll send you a guide that’s jam-packed with clothing tips and tricks. (Psst – you can get early access to the guide further down this page!) If you’re extra stumped, you’re welcome to send me photos of potential combos so that I can give you personalized guidance. In the meantime, please check out the following blog post on what to wear for family portraits.
It never rains in California … until it does. I keep a number of backup dates open each month in case of bad weather. There’s no charge to reschedule to a new date if it’s raining or overcast.
Believe it or not, nearly EVERYONE tells me this before their session, and it never turns out to be true! I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve to help you look fabulous. When you’re having a great time, you’ll look more beautiful than you thought possible — I promise!
If you’re head-over-heels for your proofs, digital files are available for purchase.
You’ll receive your proof gallery two weeks after your session date, and your finished digital files (if ordered) will be in your hands two weeks after that. (The total turnaround time for prints is up to one month.)
Well you’re in luck! I have more answers!
